Joey and I will be traveling Easter Sunday into Baton Rouge. After calling and looking at many places Mason's Grill responded to my inquiries nearly immediately. My email was replied to by a Ms. Shirlee Alfandre. She was extremely courteous and let us know to call ahead for faster service when we arrive. Mason's is also open on Easter Sunday which works out very well for Joey and I.
I'm greatful for Mason's prompt reply. Easter in Baton Rouge would be memorable regardless but it is even better when you do not have to "dine" at McDonald's.

Random Thoughts.
There are so many restaurants we want to visit on the trip. We have narrowed down the Heart Attack grill in Vegas, the Bix Texan in Amarillo and Parrain's in Baton Rouge and Beacon Drive-in in Spartanburg, SC. We have a few ideas for the D.C. Metro area but the return leg through the midwest is still perplexing me. I'm sure we will find somewhere to stop. As always, if there are suggestions, We are always open to them.

South it is.
After much discussion with my Co-Pilot, Joey. We have decided to go through the south. We are heading to Dallas after Amarillo (just gotta visit the Big Texan). From there we will scoot down to Baton Rouge and spend the night. I've always wanted to visit Baton Rouge and Joey seems very keen on it too. From Baton Rouge we will head into Mobile, AL and up through Atlanta, GA. From there we will head up 85 until Petersburg and then follow 95 into D.C.. If anybody who might happen along this blog has a suggestion for where to stay or a great spot to eat along the way please let us know. We don't want to be eating at TacoBell and Hardee's the entire trip. Thanks for reading.
