Holy Cow!

ONLY ONE WEEK TO GO! So awesome. I think this weekend I will post pictures of the two not too handsome dudes and their not too stylish ride.  Just to give everybody along the way an idea of who to watchout for.

I understand that there may be a few new readers. Welcome, I hope you enjoy our progress across this great land as much as we will.

Only 8 Days to go...

Wow it's not long until we leave. Routine maintenance was done on the car, oil, coolant, filters and such, tires are in good shape. We even cleaned the interior. We'll pack our bags this weekend so everything is set when I get off work next Thursday. Look out America, Mike and Joey will be on the move soon.

It's not really about the destination.

The more Joey and I plan out this trip the more I realize it isn't about getting to D.C., it is the adventure that my son and I are going to have getting there and back home. D.C. is important to me, don't get me wrong but there is something right about loading up the car and driving across the United States. I hope we can do this more than once, you learn new things and meet new people. All it takes is one fresh perspective to send your life and thought process into a whole new direction. hmmm, enough philosophizing for the evening.

Well, big milestone for the trip yesterday. The hotels for DC are booked.
